Hello, everyone! A little over a week ago, Mike, Lily and I got an apartment with my best-friend, Tatiana! It's insanely exciting and awesome. Her and I have always talked about having a place together and it's finally happening! I'll post pictures of it soon. I wasn't really prepared today since we just got internet literally a little over an hour ago. I'll keep you all posted!

Life update
Okay... So I'm a liar. I promised an end to hiatus and we can see how well that worked out! Honestly, blogging has been the last thing on my mind lately. I've been so focused on photography lately and it feels great!
Lemme just breakdown the last few months for you!
- In the beginning of May, my dad moved away to New Mexico. I have never lived away from my dad, and it totally sucks. And of course it does, I'm a daddy's girl
- I celebrated my first mother's day! Unfortunately Mike had to work (go figure) so nothing too exciting happened (to be honest, I can't remember what happened at all). I did get a total hair transformation as my gift, though!
- Lily turned ONE! What an exciting and sad day wrapped into one. Sad because my baby is basically no longer a baby anymore. But exciting because it's so great to watch her grow, and the party was a total success! There was lots of people and lots of awesome gifts, the potluck was better than what I was hoping for, her cake that I made turned out perfect, and the outfit I made her was perfection as well! Thank you to everyone who made the day truly magical for her! <3
- Problems in my relationship with Mike were confronted and now we're better than ever. I don't necessarily like to touch base on personal things like this, but this has made me truly happy so I figured I should post it.
- I had my first (in a long time) paying client! Her photos turned out so great. Such a relief!
And that's pretty much it besides some small things here and there! But it's time for me to go! Lily is currently throwing all of her toys out of her crib, and I sense a tantrum coming.
XOXO

End to hiatus
Hello! I'm alive, I promised. I vowed never to do this to my blog but of course it happened anyway. Life just catches up with me sometimes I guess. Also, I never imagined it would be so difficult to write a blog post. Whenever Lily sees me on the laptop, she instantly comes over and starts pulling out cords and slamming my screen down as I'm typing. It's rather difficult... Which is why most of my time is spent on my iPhone instead of my laptop.
Anyway, nothing has really been going on.. Just a lot of working and running around the house. Last weekend I did a photoshoot for my best-friend, Tatiana, and her boyfriend. It was loads of fun! I think I'm going to make a section here with my photography so it can be easily accessed.
Next Thursday I have a maternity photoshoot planned with my sister-in-law. I'm so excited to do my first maternity photoshoot! Excited and scared. It's such a precious thing and I only want to serve the best photos!
Other than that, there's really not much more to say... Let's hope I can keep this blog business going on! Haha

Friday Favorites #2
So I found this awhile back on etsy and absolutely fell in love with it. I love and collect all things mushrooms. This cute rabbit in a mushroom balloon necklace would fit right in!

This is one of the few times you'll catch me saying this; but I hope Mike won't read my blog. We're both obsessed with Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. I'm also obsessed with Harry Potter.. he won't admit that he likes it. Anyway, Threadless had a sale going on and I just had to get these shirts for us!

After looking around at different lenses for my new camera, I came across Lensbaby.. And now I want one. This one is so cool!

Ever since I've had Lily, I've pretty much stopped buying clothes for myself and began obsessing over baby clothes. This last Sunday, I couldn't resist buying this dress for her. I'm madly in love with owls and collect owl things as well. So naturally, when I had her, all her things became owl themed :)

And last, but not least - A fun DIY I found! I'm horrible at mailing out letters but maybe these awesome galaxy envelopes would kick me into gear!

Welp, that's it for today! I hope you all had an awesome Friday. I spent the day driving around with my dad and Lily. Today we went all the way up to Overton, Nevada. It was pretty fun! I'll be sharing the pictures tomorrow :)

St. Patrick's Day
Hello! I know I'm a little late to blog about it, but it's pretty hard to get in anything on days that I work! Besides, nothing interesting happens on those days. As soon as I get home, all I do is take care of Lily, nap with her, then watch TV until it's time for bed! Only on the rare occasions do I go out with a friend while Mike is at work.
Anyway! On St. Patrick's Day, Mike, Lily, and I ventured over to my mom's after stopping to get some Tropical Smoothie. I gave my sister my old Nikon D70s and so we raided the garage where I fit everything from my apartment, looking for the charger. No luck on that.. But we did manage to find my CrockPot and some old clothes we were missing! I also got some really cute shots of her two kids (Violet & Everett) and Lily!
Candace and I at one point went over to Wal-Mart to pick up the ingredients to make Irish Cream Cupcakes. My god, they were delicious! I couldn't find any cake flour, so I had to use bread flour. Next time I make these, I think I'm going to mix in a bit of sour cream to try and make them more moist. I think they were baked right since there was no cracks in the cupcake, but they just weren't as moist as I was hoping for them to be. After Wal-Mart, we went to Lee's Liquor to buy a bottle of Irish Cream.. As we were leaving, I noticed this really awesome wicker rocking chair that I just HAD to take. I'll have to post pictures of it soon. I plan on spray painting it :)
Unfortunately, while we were sorting out the garage, our next door neighbor came over to let us know his wife had passed away the previous weekend. So so so sad! She was nice. And obsessed with cats. I felt so bad... After I frosted the cupcakes, I brought some over to him. And then last night, I found out that my World Literature Honors teacher from my senior year of high school passed away from cancer earlier that day. RIP to them both :(

Scenes from yesterday
Total image dump, I know. I'm just so excited about my new camera! I seriously wasn't expecting to be THAT amazed with it. I'm not really sure why, either!
Anyway, yesterday my dad picked up Lily and I and we did our usual Friday thing. Cashed my paycheck and picked up some corned beef from Smith's. Lily rode in the cart for the first time! I didn't get a picture of it with my camera, but I did with my iPhone thankfully. After that, we got some Coffee Bean and then picked up Mike and dropped him off at work. From there, we went to my grandma's, which is where most of these pictures are from. She has a lot of cute little knick-knacks, like the gnome & elf, that I wanna steal from her! My mom stopped by, too and requested that I not post a picture of her on Facebook, but she didn't say anything about here! After we left my grandma's, my dad and I stopped at TJ Maxx so I could get Lily a new St. Patrick's day dress since the one I bought for her before is definitely not going to fit. I also got her really cute jelly shoes, and a Yankee Candle that's Basil Ginger scented. I got it for $10 when it's normally $28! Hell yeah! After that, we got some Capriotti's, I picked up Mike from work, then we eventually headed home where my package from The Body Shop was waiting for me! Hopefully my hair will be nicer and my scalp less dry after using these products... I do know for a fact that I want to sit here and smell that conditioner all day long. SO YUMMY! Haha
Hope everyone has a fun filled St. Patrick's Day!

Tugging at my heartstrings - Harry Potter products by Enesco. I collected this, among loads of others when I was a lot younger. Which reminds me I should dig them out and find room for them!
